Our Comparison Service
Smart Compare Health Insurance provides a health insurance comparison and referral service in connection with ItsMy Group Pty Ltd (ABN 85 167 289 965), trading as ItsMy Health.
ItsMy Group maintains affiliations with a range of private health insurers that form the comparison panel.
We do not compare all private health insurers or every private health insurance policyissued by the funds that we do compare.
Is There a Fee for Using the Service?
Unless we tell you otherwise before providing the service, you do not pay Smart Compare Health Insurance a separate fee for requesting a comparison.
You remain responsible for any premium, excess, co-payment or other amount charged under the policy you select.
Commission and Commercial Arrangements
ItsMy Group and/or Smart Compare Health Insurance may receive a commission, referral payment or other commercial benefit from a participating insurer when a customer purchases or switches to a policy.
The structure or amount of these arrangements may vary between participating insurers and products.
These commercial relationships are one reason the comparison is limited to participating insurers on the comparison panel.
What This Means for Your Comparison
The comparison does not represent the entire Australian private health insurance market.
An insurer or policy that is not included on the comparison panel may be available elsewhere and may be more suitable or less expensive in some circumstances.
You should review the relevant policy documents and consider the available options before making a decision.
No Guarantee of Savings
We do not guarantee that a policy presented through the service will be:
- The cheapest policy available;
- The best policy in the market;
- Suitable for every healthcare need; or
- Less expensive than your current cover.
Actual premiums and potential savings depend on your circumstances, location, eligibility, current cover and the policy selected.
